Our customer was holidaying on an island resort in Fiji. He was relaxing by the pool when he started to feel unwell in the stomach. He went to see a doctor about his condition and subsequently called our Travelsure Assist line after his condition started to deteriorate. The local doctors suspected that he may need surgery. As he didn’t have access to a suitable medical facility, Travelsure immediately organised for a private air ambulance to be flown to Fiji to repatriate him home for immediate surgery. Costs included medical, additional expenses and cancellation.

Our customer was flying to Ireland to attend her mother’s
funeral, when she missed their connecting flight in London dueto her luggage being delayed. Our customer had to wait 2 hours to find the luggage at which time it was too late to get another flight. At that time she called our Travelsure Assist line to ask what to do and we advised her to book another flight. A flight was booked for the next morning and she was able to make it to her mother’s funeral on time. Upon her return to NZ, a claim was lodged, and additional expenses were reimbursed.
