Travelsure international plans come with different levels of luggage cover. To view how much cover is included and the individual item limits that apply, please refer to our compare our plans section.
The good news is that if you are planning on taking something special on your trip that is worth more than the item limit, you can get additional cover for that item such as a ring, a hearing aide or your new iPhone!. You can increase the item limit by up to $4,500 for an additional premium however please note that you’ll need to provide us with a receipt or valuation should you need to make a claim.
If you are hiring a car overseas and you have an accident you could be liable for a big excess. Rental car companies often offer the option to reduce the insurance excess at time of hiring however this can be very expensive.
Our Options plan includes $4,000 rental car insurance excess cover. However, if you’d like to increase that cover, you can by up to an additional $3,500. Our Essentials plan doesn’t include rental car insurance excess cover; however you can add it to your policy if needed.
If you need cover whilst you’re skiing, snowboarding or snowmobiling be sure you include this option on your policy as an additional premium applies.
Please note that we only cover on-piste activities and do not cover racing or professional winter sports even if you add this option on your Travelsure Travel Insurance policy.
As Travelsure Travel Insurance policies do not automatically include cover for claims involving motorcycling please make sure you add this to your policy if you are thinking of doing this activity whilst you are away (even if you are the passenger)
